We the had a quieter period, for about an hour, until we came to a marina and then the Calcutt Locks. The views south, over Napton Hill, started to open up about the same time as the towpath started to become overgrown, just before Napton Junction.
The boat in the picture is at the junction and heading East to Braunston where the Oxford Canal going North and The Grand Union Canal part company. The sign saying Braunston and Oxford is above the boat but you will not be able to resolve is at blog resolution. The photo was taken after we had passed under a bridge which we had to then walk over to go towards Oxford. Shiel is on the bridge.
